Women's Rights Advocacy

What we do

Girl Concern CBO runs community-led advocacy and protection work for girls and women in Isiolo County. Key activities include menstrual hygiene distributions and dignity kits, community dialogues and radio campaigns on women's rights, trainings for human rights defenders (HRDs), anti-GBV and anti-FGM advocacy, legal aid referrals, and leadership & economic empowerment workshops.

What we do

Girl Concern CBO supports foundational learning and access to education through school assessments, volunteer-led literacy & numeracy assessments (FLANA / ICAN-ICAR), teacher mentorship, scholarships for vulnerable girls, school supplies drives and community learning activities that increase attendance and learning outcomes.

Climate Action

What we do

Girl Concern CBO integrates climate justice into its programming, focusing on resilience-building for pastoral and farming households. Activities include climate awareness and advocacy, community tree nurseries and planting, water harvesting demonstrations, and sustainable livelihoods training that reduce vulnerability to climate shocks.
